Established in 2016, the 50,000 Club Award recognizes employees in safety sensitive positions, including maintenance and warehouse staff, who have 20 consecutive years of safe work without a preventable accident – the approximate equivalent of working 50,000 hours.

To acknowledge an individual’s dedication to safety and recognize their long-term success in this area, BC Transit has two milestone awards.

Million Miler Award

Established in 1978, the Million Miler Award is for drivers that have driven 20 consecutive years without a preventable accident – the approximate equivalent of driving a million miles safely and without incident.
