Make the Yuletide bright for others: ride the bus!

Prince George – Christmas time is the time for giving and you can help make the holidays brighter for others with the return of Food for Fare, offered by the City of Prince George and BC Transit.

From Wednesday, December 12 through Friday, December 14, community members may ride the bus for free when making a donation on-board of non-perishable food to the Salvation Army Food Bank. The Salvation Army has requested the following donation items be made, if possible:

  • Diapers size 5 & 6
  • Baby Formula – any type, any size
  • Canned Meat – tuna, salmon, ham, corned beef, spam
  • Pasta (900g bags)
  • Peanut Butter – any type, any size

Media are invited to join us on December 11 at the Downtown Bus Exchange on 7th Avenue and Dominion to help kick-off the event. The launch event will start at 11:00 a.m. Then be sure to join us again on December 18 at the Salvation Army on 18 Avenue at 2:30 p.m. to close out the Food for Fare campaign!
