WHISTLER – BC Transit and the Resort Municipality of Whistler (RMOW) are announcing the reinstatement of the planned late night service reduction on July 1, 2020, in the Whistler Transit System.
BC Transit and the RMOW work hard to match service with demand. After careful consideration and feedback from customers, the Whistler Transit Management Advisory Committee has made the decision to maintain late night service in the transit system.
Previously, the decision was made to reduce late night service due to reduced ridership throughout the Whistler Transit System and as a cost-saving measure in response to COVID-19.
With late night service remaining in the transit system, these routes will continue to service customers as scheduled. Schedule details can be found on our website at bctransit.com/whistler.
Following the guidance of the Provincial Health Officer and WorkSafeBC, and drawing on the best practices of the transit industry worldwide, BC Transit is continuing with many of the safety measures put in place to respond to COVID-19, and is implementing additional practices and procedures to align with BC’s Restart Plan.
