BC Transit is announcing a temporary service reduction in Kitimat due to staffing shortages starting today.During the temporary service reduction, service will run as follows for the conventional system: *Monday to Friday will have runs starting at 7:30 a.m. and the last runs start before 7:30 p.m. Any runs scheduled to start after 7:30 p.m. will not operate.
*Saturday will have runs starting at 10:30 a.m. and the last runs start before 5:45 p.m. Any runs scheduled to start after 5:45 p.m. will not operate.
*Sunday will have runs starting at 10:30 a.m. and the last runs start before 4:45 p.m. Any runs scheduled to start after 4:45 p.m. will not operate.
During the temporary service reduction, custom service will operate until 5:30 p.m. daily.
We recognize that this has an impact on our customers, and we apologize for the inconvenience this will cause. We’re working hard with our local operating company, Pacific Western Transit, to address the staffing shortages.
