BC Transit, the District of Kitimat and Pacific Western Transportation are working towards getting back to regular service. We are working towards a phased approach to work up to full service to ensure that it is sustainable and to minimize impacts to customers.
Starting February 19, handyDART service will increase to full hours from 7 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. On Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays handyDART service will operate from 7 a.m. until 5:30 p.m. as part of the temporary service reduction.
Conventional transit (Routes 1A, 1B, 2, 3) service hours will run on the following temporary reduced schedule:
- Monday to Friday will have runs starting at 7:30 a.m. and the last runs start before 7:30 p.m. Any runs scheduled to start after 7:30 p.m. will not operate.
- Saturday will have runs starting at 10:30 a.m. and the last runs start before 5:45 p.m. Any runs scheduled to start after 5:45 p.m. will not operate.
- Sunday will have runs starting at 10:30 a.m. and the last runs start before 4:45 p.m. Any runs scheduled to start after 4:45 p.m. will not operate.
We recognize the impact the temporary service reduction has had on the community and want to thank our partners and customers for their patience and support during this time.
