Kicking Horse Service Comes to a Close

KICKING HORSE – On July 27, 2012 the Kicking Horse Country Transit service will come to an end. A combination of limited ridership and local government financial constraints led to the difficult decision to shut the service down.

The Health Connections service between Golden and Cranbrook will continue. The bus leaves Golden at 8 am with stops in Cranbrook at the Tamarack Mall, Cranbrook Hospital and other medical facilities at 11:15 am. The return trip leaves Cranbrook at 3:30 pm and arrives in Golden at 6:30 pm. The Health Connections service gives priority to people with medical appointments but is open to all, if space is available.
