KAMLOOPS – Community members in Kamloops will see service changes in their transit system this September. These service changes will see several routes adjusted to better connect communities.
Along with increased service on the Route1 Tranquille and Route 14 Batchelor Heights during peak travel periods, Route 9 Gleneagles will have more frequent service throughout the day. Route 5 Pineview will also see a change of direction to better connect riders to businesses on Versatile Drive.
Route 7 Aberdeen will now serve the Sahali-Bestwick and Battle neighborhoods on its way to and from downtown Kamloops. That change will see the discontinuance of Route 8 Battle. The Route 4 Pacific Way will now start and end at Thompson Rivers University.
The new schedule changes roll out on September 6, 2015.
BC Transit staff will be at key exchanges during the first days of the schedule change to assist customers with the transition.
A fare change will also be taking effect on September 1, 2015. A newly adopted, simplified, fare structure, including single cash fares and single day-pass fares are being rolled out.
