Nanaimo — Catch a ride on the bus and explore the Nanaimo region as they ring in the new year with a service expansion for route 40 VIU EXPRESS starting on January 6, 2019.
BC Transit and the Regional District of Nanaimo are pleased to announce the addition of 5,000 service hours and two new buses being allocated to Nanaimo’s Frequent Transit Network.
The route 40 VIU EXPRESS service expansion will include increased bus service times on weekdays and Sundays to help students and customers connect to key destinations around town such as Woodgrove, Downtown Nanaimo and Vancouver Island University.
