COLUMBIA SHUSWAP REGIONAL DISTRICT – You’re invited to help
shape the future of public transportation in the communities of Falkland, Sicamous,
Malakwa and Swansea. At the request of the Columbia Shuswap Regional District
and the District of Sicamous, BC Transit will conduct a feasibility study to
assess the service needs in each community. The broader issues of regional connections
will be considered including the viability of linking Falkland to the Vernon
Regional Transit System; and the potential for regional service from Sicamous,
Malakwa and Swansea Point to the Shuswap Regional Transit System.
BC Transit wants to hear from all residents in Falkland, Sicamous, Malakwa
and Swansea Point; whether they are current or potential transit users, through
either public open houses or surveys. Surveys can be found online at www.bctransit.com/transitfuture
until March 10, 2013.
