TERRACE – The City of Terrace, the Regional District of Kitimat-Stikine
and BC Transit are going to their customers in Terrace for feedback on proposed
new routes and route changes. BC Transit staff will ride with customers on bus
routes and will meet with riders at open houses at the Skeena Mall transit exchange
on Lakelse Avenue.
After conducting a regional service review of transit, a number of recommendations
were developed. Those recommendations include more direct trips throughout the
system and adding transit service to the University of Northern British Columbia
(UNBC) campus on Keith Avenue. Other proposed changes would see more consistent
service to Wal-mart and better connections between the Southside area, the UNBC
campus and the Northwest Community College (NWCC).
