VICTORIA – BC Transit is seeking the public’s feedback on upcoming service changes in the Victoria Regional Transit System.
The feedback shared will help identify transit priorities for the community, which will support transit decision-making and future service improvements in Greater Victoria.
As a part of an upcoming service change, route 53 Colwood Exchange/Langford Exchange via Atkins will be re-aligned and extended to terminate at the Victoria General Hospital rather than Colwood Exchange.
In addition, a change is also proposed to discontinue service along the west end of Goldstream Avenue (west of Leigh Road) due to low ridership and to provide year-round service to Thetis Lake Regional Park and limited commuter service to downtown Victoria.
These changes were previously identified in the Burnside-Tillicum and View Royal/Esquimalt Local Area Transit Plans.
The public engagement window is open from February 10 until February 24, 2021.
