BC Transit and the Victoria Regional Transit Commission are seeking feedback on future plans to implement Route 96 Blink, the McKenzie RapidBus line that will get riders to their destination between Uptown and UVic, in the blink of an eye.
In preparation for this implementation, BC Transit has launched a survey regarding potential changes to the following routes:
- Route 24 Cedar Hill/Tillicum Centre
- Route 25 Maplewood/Tillicum Centre
- Route 26 Dockyard/UVic
- Route 72 Swartz Bay Downtown
There are also plans to introduce a new Route 16 Uptown/UVic that would travel on Cedar Hill Cross Road and Route 40 Dockyard/UVic that would travel on Admirals and McKenzie.
Open house engagement sessions will be held at the following locations:
- Wednesday June 19 from 10 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. in front of the library at Esquimalt Town Square
- Wednesday June 19 from 2 p.m. until 3:30 p.m. on the SUB side of the UVic Transit Exchange
- Thursday June 20 from 4:00 p.m. until 7 p.m. at Uptown across from Erito Sushi
