Have your say in North Okanagan transit service

VERNON – BC Transit, the City of Vernon, Regional District of North Okanagan and District of Coldstream are seeking feedback on proposed transit improvements for the 2021 North Okanagan Transit Future Action Plan.
The engagement runs from August 20 to October 1, 2021. Feedback provided may be used to refine service proposals and help determine the phasing of proposed improvements. There are many things to consider when making service improvements, and BC Transit and its local government partners will do its best to serve the community’s needs with the resources available.
Due to the current wildfire situation, the original engagement dates were extended by two weeks to ensure customers impacted by wildfires may provide feedback at a later date when it may be more convenient. While BC Transit was able to update most communication materials to reflect the new date, printed materials have the incorrect end date. The correct end date is October 1, 2021.
The North Okanagan Transit Future Action Plan outlines transit priorities for the Vernon Regional Transit System over the next five to seven years. This plan is an update to the 2014 Transit Future Plan, and will have updated goals and service priorities for transit in the community.
Public input is important in developing future transit service priorities for the community, and in planning for a post-COVID transit system. Visit the project webpage at engage.bctransit.com/northokanagan2021 to learn more about this project and find out how to get involved.
