BC Transit and the Resort Municipality of Whistler (RMOW) are informing Whistler Transit riders about bus stop closures and transit service disruptions on Saturday, September 12, 2026, as part of the RBC GranFondo.

To help ensure the safety of the RBC GranFondo participants, several bus stops will be closed in Whistler Village and south of the Village between 8:20 a.m. – 5 p.m. Temporary bus stops for northbound buses will be set up at Whistler Creekside on Chamonix Crescent and Whistler Village at Highway 99 and Village Gate Boulevard just north of the intersection.

From 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (or when the barricades are removed), there will be temporary bus stops set up on Chamonix Crescent at Lake Placid Road for all northbound Route 10, 20 and 21 buses opposite the Co-Op Gas Station.

Between 8:20 a.m. and 5 p.m., all bus stops along Village Gate Boulevard and Northlands Boulevard will be closed and transit customers can catch buses at the Gondola Transit Exchange for all routes except for Route 10-Valley Express.

There will also be a temporary bus stop at Highway 99 on the north side of Village Gate Boulevard for Route 10-Valley Express northbound passengers and as a drop-off point for route 20 and 21. To catch route 10-Valley Express southbound from Whistler Village, please use the stop on Highway 99 at the Whistler Golf Course, which can be accessed by the Valley Trail, under Highway 99 from Whistler Way behind the Conference Centre. From 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. (or when the barricades are removed), all bus stops in Cheakamus Crossing will be closed. Please walk to Function Junction to catch a Route 10 or 20 bus to the Village.
