VICTORIA – BC Transit and The Great Canadian Beer Festival are teaming up again this year with the ‘Get Home Safe’ campaign, offering complimentary one-way tickets with entry to the festival.
The partnership grew out of a desire to ensure all participants at the Great Canadian Beer Festival could celebrate responsibly and have safe, reliable transportation home after enjoying all the festival has to offer.
“We are proud to offer a world-class event with Victoria’s Great Canadian Beer Festival,” said GCBF Chairman Gerry Hieter “Part of our commitment to our community is to ensure that festival-goers are provided with a safe trip home. We’re grateful that BC Transit has helped us provide that.”
“We are pleased to be able to partner with the Great Canadian Beer Festival to offer festival-goers a safe trip home,” said BC Transit President and CEO Manuel Achadinha.
“Planning for a safe ride home is key to enjoying any celebration,” said VicPD Chief Constable Frank Elsner. “It is great to see BC Transit and The Great Canadian Beer Festival team up again this year with their ‘Get Home Safe’ campaign.”
The one-way, non-transferable, tickets are distributed at the festival entrance both days and BC Transit is encouraging everyone to take advantage of this complimentary ride home.
