Transit System: Cowichan Valley
BC Transit and the Cowichan Valley Regional District are happy to announce that transit will be free for all Veterans and Canadian Forces members for the week leading up to Remembrance Day.
Free transit is being offered to Canadian Forces members and Veterans from November 4 – 10 and includes handyDART service and all local routes. The free transit does not include interregional routes 66 CVX Cowichan-Victoria, 70 NCX Nanaimo-Cowichan and 99 SVX Shawnigan Lake-Victoria.
On November 11, 2024, Remembrance Day, transit will be free for all riders.
Service on Remembrance Day will be reduced with local transit routes running on a Sunday schedule. handyDART service will run on a Saturday schedule. Eagle Heights, Ladysmith, Youbou, Honeymoon Bay and interregional routes do not operate on November 11, 2024.
