Transit System: Mount Waddington
MOUNT WADDINGTON – The Regional District of Mount Waddington (RDMW) and BC Transit are providing free transit service on October 24, 2020 on election day.
The RDMW will be offering additional special service on Saturday for Kwakiutl First Nation, Quatsino First Nation, Coal Harbour residents as well as Port Hardy Hospital/Eagle Ridge Manor/Rotary Seniors Home with direct service to Port Hardy Civic Centre. This additional service will be in conjunction with the regular Saturday routes.
An additional loop run will begin at 3:18 p.m. as a return trip only from the Port Hardy Civic Centre (Polling Station) to Gwa’sala-Nakwaxda’xw First Nation entrance, Port Hardy Hospital/Eagle Ridge Manor Seniors Home, Quatsino First Nation, the bus will then return to the Port Hardy Civic Centre (Polling Station), departing at 4:16 p.m. to pick up passengers destined for Kwakiutl First Nation and Beaver Harbour Road. These additional trips are to ensure that passengers are provided with adequate time to vote.
