Free transit service for Remembrance Day in the Victoria Regional Transit System

VICTORIA To commemorate Remembrance Day and to thank retired and active military personnel, BC Transit will be offering free transit service in the Victoria Regional Transit System on November 11, 2020.

While the style of celebration may be shifting during this time, BC Transit will still be offering free service to honour those who have served and continue to serve in the Canadian Armed Forces. The free service will provide those that served in the Canadian Armed Forces a transportation option as they recognize Remembrance Day.

On November 11, all scheduled routes and handyDART services will be free for all riders in uniform, active, retired and cadets, as well as those with Army, Navy or Air Force Association cards.

BC Transit supports those bus drivers who choose to stop their bus, if it is safe to do so, at 11 a.m. on November 11, to observe the traditional minute of silence in memory of those who gave their lives and service in times of war.
