Transit System: Fort St. John
FORT ST. JOHN – To commemorate Remembrance Day and to thank retired and active military personnel, The City of Fort St. John and BC Transit will be offering free transit service in the Fort St. John Transit System on November 11, 2020.
While the style of celebration may be shifting during this time, BC Transit will still be offering free service to honour those who have served and continue to serve in the Canadian Armed Forces. The free service will provide those that served in the Canadian Armed Forces a transportation option as they recognize Remembrance Day.
On November 11, free service will be available to all bus riders on route 1 Northside and route 2 Southside, which will run on a modified holiday schedule, operating between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. on November 11 in honour of Remembrance Day.
handyDART services will also be free between 8:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. in the Fort St. John Transit System.
BC Transit supports those bus drivers who choose to stop their bus, if it is safe to do so, at 11 a.m. on November 11, to observe the traditional minute of silence in memory of those who gave their lives and service in times of war.
