Transit System: West Kootenay
WEST KOOTENAY – BC Transit is offering seniors* in the West Kootenay Transit System free rides on October 1, 2015 in support of National Seniors Day.
All a senior* needs to do to ride transit free on October 1 is show their valid I.D. when boarding.
The free fare promotion will benefit seniors who wish to travel to the Kootenay Seniors Fair in Nelson on October 1 at the Nelson and District Community Complex (305 Hall Street) from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. BC Transit is hosting an exhibit at the fair where staff will be available to answer questions about accessible transit options such as handyDART and conventional fixed-route service.
We encourage seniors to visit our exhibit to enter a contest to win one of three seniors monthly bus passes for use in Nelson, which have been donated by the City.
