Free transit for Summerland residents

BC Transit and the District of Summerland are announcing the launch of a pilot project that will see free transit on route 30 Summerland/Penticton for Summerland residents only, effective April 22, 2023.
Summerland residents boarding route 30 will have to show a piece of identification showing their Summerland address, or a student ID (for those 13 – 18 years old), in order to benefit from the free transit. Fares must still be paid on other routes that connect with the South Okanagan-Similkameen Transit System.
This pilot project will run for one year, wrapping up on April 22, 2024.
