Transit System: Cowichan Valley
COWICHAN VALLEY – The Cowichan Valley Regional District and BC
Transit will offer free local transit service, including handyDART, to all riders
on December 14, 15, and 16, 2012.
The Shopper’s Special will help Cowichan Valley residents
get into the holiday spirit. The initiative will also reduce traffic congestion
at one of the busiest times of the year and prevent parking pandemonium at popular
shopping destinations.
The free service is available on local routes in the Cowichan Valley Regional
Transit System, but excludes the Cowichan Valley Commuter to Victoria.
BC Transit and the CVRD encourage everyone to have a safe and green holiday
season. Give bus tickets or monthly bus passes to loved ones and help encourage
sustainable transportation.
