Free transit for Cyclists for the 30th edition of Go By Bike in Victoria

The Victoria Regional Transit Commission and BC Transit are happy to announce free transit for cyclists during the 30th annual Go By Bike Weeks, September 23 – October 6, 2024.

To qualify for free transit, customers taking part in Go By Bike must use the bus bike racks or show their bike helmet when boarding the bus.

With bike racks on all conventional BC Transit buses, using two forms of sustainable transit is easier than ever. This also allows for more flexibility if there is a change in the weather throughout the day – sunshine on the way into work but rain and cold wind on the way home, just toss the bike on the bus and enjoy a free ride.

Most bikes can be accommodated on BC Transit buses but please note that bike space is limited and cannot be guaranteed. More information about travelling with your bike on the bus can be found here.

BC Transit is a long-time proud partner of Go By Bike in Victoria. For more about the Go By Bike Weeks’ festivities, which includes celebration stations with bike mechanics, prize draws and other cycling resources, visit: capitalbike.ca/gobybikeweek

We encourage our customers to use the Umo app, Transit App, Google Transit or any other app of their choice for real-time bus tracking and planning your next transit journey.
