Transit System: Prince George
BC Transit and the City of Prince George are happy to announce that transit will be free on June 5, 2024, to mark Clean Air Day and help provide an environmentally-friendly transportation option.
The Government of Canada declared Clean Air Day in 1999 as part of Canadian Environment Week. The goal of Clean Air Day is to raise awareness about air quality and climate change, as well as inspire people to consider changing habits in an effort to decrease their individual greenhouse gas emissions.
Transit in Prince George will be free all day for passengers on all bus routes and for handyDART customers as well.
Customers are encouraged to use the Umo app, Transit app, Google Transit or any other real time trip planning app to see trip times and plan your journey.
