VICTORIA – The Victoria Regional Transit Commission and BC Transit
are offering free rides on Remembrance Day to military personnel in uniform
and to customers with Army, Navy or Air Force Association cards. The free service
applies on November 11, 2013 and is a small gesture to honour the many sacrifices
of the men and women who serve in the Canadian Armed Forces.
BC Transit encourages operators, when it is safe to do so, to stop their bus
at 11:00 am to observe the traditional minute of silence in memory of war veterans
and active military members.
BC Transit will be running a Sunday schedule on November 11, 2013. For more
