REVELSTOKE – Come ride transit and handyDART for free in Revelstoke
from December 10 until December 31, 2012!
BC Transit and the City of Revelstoke are excited to announce 850 service hours
will be added to the system beginning December 10, 2012. Route #2 Columbia Park-Big
Eddie will be split in two; offering customers more direct trips and more frequent
runs. Plus route #1 Hospital-Arrow Heights Loop will see an extra three trips
every weekday.
Two new transit stops have been added; at the Seniors Centre on 4th Street
East and at Cooper’s Foods on Victoria Road. Plus the current bus stop
on Highway 23 North has been moved one block south to improve safety for transit
riders.
With the added service hours, comes a new vehicle in the spring of 2013.
Effective January 2, 2013 cash and ticket fares are changing. Adult cash fares
will be $2 (currently $1.50) while seniors and students will pay $1.75 (currently
$1.25). Ticket bundles of 10 rides will cost adults $18 (currently $14.25);
students and seniors $15.75 (currently $12).
The cost of monthly passes will not change and are $45 for adults; students
and seniors pay $37.50. handyDART fares will also remain unchanged at $2.
