Free local service to mark Remembrance Day

Cowichan Valley – To thank those who have sworn to defend our country, the Cowichan Valley Regional District and BC Transit are pleased to offer free local bus service to active and retired members of the Canadian Forces from November 5 through 10.

Veterans and members of the Canadian Forces with valid ID will be able to take advantage of the free service, which will be offered on regular buses and handyDART service; it will not apply to Routes 44, 66 and 99.

All transit users in the region will be able to ride for free on local routes on Sunday, November 11.
