Free Fare for Bike to Work Week Participants

Prince George – The City of Prince George and BC Transit are pleased to celebrate Bike to Work Week by offering participating cyclists free rides between May 27 and June 2.

In order to ride the Prince George Transit System for free, Bike to Work Week participants must use the bus bike racks or show their bike helmet when boarding the bus.

BC Transit buses are equipped with bike racks on the front of the bus, making it easier for cyclists to combine two forms of sustainable transportation when travelling longer distances—or when the weather changes throughout the day and makes cycling less desirable than it was first thing in the morning.

Be advised that bike racks on community buses and smaller fleet buses, such as the route 91, cannot be used after dark, since they obstruct the headlights. To learn more about travelling with your bike on the bus, visit bctransit.com/prince-george/riderinfo/bike-racks-and-lockers.
