Free Fare for Bike to Work Week Participants

Kamloops – The City of Kamloops and BC Transit are pleased to celebrate Bike to Work Week by offering participating cyclists free rides until Sunday, June 2.

In order to ride the Kamloops Transit System for free, Bike to Work Week participants must use the bus bike racks or show their bike helmet when boarding the bus.

BC Transit buses are equipped with bike racks on the front of the bus, making it easier for cyclists to combine two forms of sustainable transportation when travelling longer distances—or when the weather changes throughout the day and makes cycling less desirable than it was first thing in the morning.

Please be advised that bike racks on community buses and smaller fleet buses cannot be used after dark, since they obstruct the headlights. To learn more about travelling with your bike on the bus, visit bctransit.com/kamloops/riderinfo/bike-racks-and-lockers.
