Transit System: Campbell River
CAMPBELL RIVER – Effective April 2, 2012 BC Transit riders will
see some changes in fares as we merge the price of one and two zone trips.\
Monthly passes will be more affordable for two zone travelers. Adults will
pay $4 less with rates at $52 a month regardless of the destination, down from
2011 rates of $56. Seniors will see a dollar drop in their monthly pass. And
youth monthly pass remains unchanged.
There are fare increases too. Cash adult fares will cost $2 for all trips,
seniors and youth will pay $1.75.
BC Transit riders who buy in bulk will notice a one dollar increase when purchasing
10 tickets. The new rate is $18 for 10 tickets. Seniors and youth rates are
$15.75 for 10 tickets.
Day Passes, good for both zones, will now cost $4.50 for adults & college
students; and $4 for seniors and youth.
Fare change highlights:
>adult cash fare $2 (unchanged for two zones & up 25 cents for one zone)
>seniors/youth cash fare $1.75 (unchanged for two zones & up 25 cents
for one zone)
>adult 10 tickets $18 (up from $17 for two zones & $14.75 for one zone)
>seniors/youth 10 tickets $15.75 (up from $14.75 for two zones & $12.75
for one zone)
>monthly adult pass $52 (down from $56 for two zones & up from $45 for
one zone)
>senior monthly pass $42 (down from $43 for two zones & up from $35 for
one zone)
