VICTORIA – The beginning of September and the return to school and work brings a return to fall transit service.
As of September 6, full service will be reinstated on routes serving high schools, the University of Victoria, Camosun College and Royal Roads University. These routes are:
2/2A Oak Bay / Willows / Downtown
4 Downtown/UVic
7 UVic / Downtown
8 Interurban / Oak Bay
11 UVic / Tillicum Mall
12 UVic / University Heights
13 Ten Mile Point / UVic

15 UVic / Esquimalt

The level of service on those routes is reduced in the summer months when demand traditionally declines.
At the same time, frequency is being adjusted on 33 routes around the Victoria Region, to better reflect growing congestion in the Greater Victoria region while ensuring buses meet their connections. These service adjustments will differ from route to route, but in general, riders may notice longer spaces between buses. This will ensure that they meet connections with other routes.
Since these service adjustments affect many routes either directly or indirectly, should check the new Rider’s Guide, available on buses or as a download at www.bctransit.com/victoria/schedules-and-maps (click “Upcoming Victoria Rider’s Guide); or contact Customer Information, 250-382-6161.
