BC Transit, the Regional District of Okanagan-Similkameen and the City of Penticton are advising transit customers of a seasonal service change, effective September 8, 2026.
Full service will resume on routes that serve schools as classes have resumed for the fall semester.
This change includes the 9:25 a.m. trip on Route 10 Naramata, departing from Cherry Lane Shopping Centre, which will be removed for the season. Also, trips added to Route 16 Lake to Lake for the summer evenings will be removed.
Please check the Rider’s Guide for all schedule changes and times.
As families prepare for the upcoming school year, BC Transit encourages parents and students to visit BusReady to help young people travel with confidence. BusReady offers educational resources, safety information, and practical trip-planning tools that help make the journey to and from school safer, easier and more comfortable for students. BC Transit also reminds customers that children 12 and under ride the bus for free, province-wide.
