Transit System: Prince George
PRINCE GEORGE – BC Transit is announcing service changes in the Prince George Transit System effective September 6, 2021.
BC Transit and the City of Prince George work hard to match service with demand and continue to ensure reliable transportation services are available to our customers.
Schedule adjustments will be implemented on a number of routes throughout the transit system to meet the expected fall increase in service demands, which includes a return to in-person learning for post-secondary students:
- Reintroduction of K-12 school trips on the 12 Parkridge, 96 Shas-ti/Kelly via N. Nechako and 97 Shas-ti/Kelly via Highway 97
- Reintroduction of additional trips on 15 Downtown/UNBC and 55 Victoria
- Additional peak trips on the 88 Westgate and 89 Hart
- Routing change to the 91 Spruceland/Hart
Please be advised that route 1 Heritage loop trips currently operating via 5
th Avenue and Ospika Boulevard will be renumbered to route 11. In addition, routes 17 UNBC and 18 Spruceland will not be reinstated this service change.
BC Transit reminds customers that Free Transit for Children 12 and Under launches on September 1, and more information on that program is available
