KAMLOOPS – BC Transit is announcing service changes in the Kamloops Transit System effective September 5, 2021.
BC Transit and the City of Kamloops work hard to match service with demand and continue to ensure reliable transportation services are available to our customers.
The upcoming fall seasonal service change will provide increased service from current summer-level service in the Kamloops Transit System. In alignment with the Provincial Health Officer, face coverings are mandatory for customers on all BC Transit buses connected to the Kamloops Transit System.
Schedule adjustments will be implemented on routes throughout the transit system to meet the expected increase in service demands. This includes a reintroduction of full service to K-12 schools on all routes, as well as Thompson Rivers University with students returning to in-person learning.
BC Transit reminds customers that Free Transit for Children 12 and Under launches on September 1, and more information on that program is available
here.
Customers are encouraged to use NextRide and the Transit app for real-time bus tracking and additional trip planning resources.
