Enhanced transit with the fall service change in Cranbrook

BC Transit and the City of Cranbrook are announcing some changes to the transit system, effective September 5, 2023.

BC Transit and the City of Cranbrook work hard to provide the most safe and reliable service possible for our customers. This change will optimize service and improve reliability for customers.

Service on routes 3 and 7 will be extended to seven days a week, while route 20 will be discontinued. All trips on Route 4 Slaterville will now connect customers directly to the Walmart/Superstore Plaza. As well, all trips on Route 5 College will service the East Kootenay Regional Hospital.

To help ensure our buses are running on time, providing better connections between routes, more time has been added to all routes.

These changes are part of a phased approach to help enhance transportation in Cranbrook. In the coming months, customers will have an opportunity to share their feedback on the city’s Transit Future Plan.
