BC Transit and the Resort Municipality of Whistler (RMOW) are advising customers that Late Winter Plus extra service for the Whistler Transit System will end on Sunday, April 16, 2023.
This regular seasonal service change reflects the closure of Whistler Mountain and the later daily opening of Blackcomb Mountain for spring skiing. Reduced seasonal service during non-peak times allows for increased service levels during the busier summer and winter seasons.
The following routes will be discontinued for the winter season:
Sunday, April 16 is the last day for the free trips on route 7 Staff Housing between 6 p.m. and 8 a.m. The RMOW and BC Transit thank Whistler Blackcomb for sponsoring this winter-only complimentary service. Starting Monday, April 17, there will be trips added to route 7 Staff Housing between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. Please check the latest Rider’s Guide for updated information.
All other routes in the Whistler Transit System will start operating at the spring base service levels starting on Monday, April 17, 2023.
Summer service will start on Saturday, June 17, 2023 with extra trips on the Route 10-Valley Express.
