Transit System: Comox Valley
BC Transit is informing riders of temporary route detours in place as of 7 p.m. on Friday, February 4 until at least 8 p.m. on Sunday, February 6 in the Comox Valley Regional Transit system due to the temporary 5th Street Bridge closure announced by the City of Courtenay.
The following routes will be on detour as of 7 p.m. on Friday, February 4:
- 1 Anfield Centre/Comox Mall
- 5 Vanier
- 6 Uplands
- 11 Little River
- 12 Oyster River/Downtown
Four bus stops will also be closed for the weekend and signs will be posted directing customers to the nearest operational stop. The stops that will temporarily be closed are: Old Island and Puntledge (Northbound and Southbound), Anderton at 3rd (Southbound) and 5th St 70 Block (Northbound).
We are advising riders to expect long delays on most routes as schedules are interlined. BC Transit apologizes for any inconvenience this will cause, and appreciates the patience of our customers at this time.
