Transit System: Campbell River, Comox Valley, Kamloops, Kitimat, Powell River
Celebrate Canada Day in your community this year and let BC Transit get you to the festivities safely. Free transit is being offered in several transit systems across the province.
Campbell River
BC Transit and the City of Campbell River will be offering free transit on select conventional routes. Special holiday schedule will be in effect.

Comox Valley
BC Transit and the Comox Valley Regional District (CVRD) will be offering free transit to help celebrate Canada Day on July 1, 2022.
Due to the holiday celebrations, there will be some custom routing and schedule changes including:

Kamloops
BC Transit and the City of Kamloops will be offering free transit on Canada Day, Friday July 1, 2022.
Buses will be operating on a Saturday-level service for the duration of the day. Extended evening service will not be offered this year due to the change in the Canada Day event schedule.
For those transit riders traveling with a bicycle, a bike valet service will be available at the main event site at Riverside Park from 10:30 a.m. until 6:30 p.m.

Kitimat
BC Transit and the District of Kitimat will be offering free transit service on all local Kitimat routes. Buses will be operating on a Sunday schedule. Skeena routes will not be running on Canada Day.

Powell River
BC Transit, the City of Powell River and the qathet Regional District will be running Sunday service for Canada Day. This service will be extended by four additional hours with shuttle service starting from the Town Centre Mall at 6:15 p.m. going to the celebrations at Willingdon Beach and running every half hour and ending at 11:15 p.m.
