Comox Valley – To celebrate B.C. Day and to make it easier for everyone to get around during Festival Weekend in the Comox Valley, the Comox Valley Regional District and BC Transit are pleased to offer free fare on all transit routes from Saturday, August 3, to Monday, August 5.
Get to and from B.C. Day and Festival Weekend festivities without any of the hassle — let us do the driving.
Regular routes and schedules will apply on Saturday and Sunday, with special service available on the holiday Monday. The free long-weekend fare is supported by Comox Business in Action, and will apply to all routes in the Comox Valley Transit System.
Special B.C. Day and Festival Weekend service will include one-hour service on routes:
- 1 Comox Mall / Anfield Centre via N.I.C.
- 2 Cumberland / Anfield Centre
- 6 Uplands
- 8 Downtown / Anfield Centre
Route 1 Comox Mall / Anfield Centre via N.I.C. on B.C. Day will operate every 30 minutes between Comox and downtown Courtenay, with trips every 60 minutes between downtown and Anfield Centre.
B.C. Day and Festival Weekend will also include limited service on routes:
- 7 Arden
- 11 Airport via Powell R. Ferry / Downtown
- 12 Oyster River/Downtown Courtenay
