VICTORIA – As BC begins to open up following the Covid-19 pandemic, the Victoria Regional Transit System will operate on a Sunday level of service, plus late night service until approximately 2:00 a.m. on July 1, with additional service available if required.
As in previous years, alcohol will not be permitted on board BC Transit buses in the Capital Region, including alcohol in closed containers. Victoria Police will assist transit personnel to enforce this regulation to ensure public safety. BC Transit continues to follow the guidance of the PHO and WorkSafeBC, and face coverings are currently mandatory on all buses and at bus stops.
Transit customers are reminded they can ride all day by purchasing a $5 DayPASS, which is available on buses. Guardians, 13 years and older, using any prepaid pass may bring up to four children under the age of 12 on the Family Pass program.
For real-time bus tracking, customers are encouraged to use NextRide and the Transit App.
