Celebrate Canada Day and let BC Transit get you to all the events safely. Shuttles and free transit are being offered in select regions across the province on Monday, July 1, 2024.
CAMPBELL RIVER –
A special Canada Day schedule will be in effect. Free transit is being offered on all regular routes.
COMOX VALLEY –
Saturday service will be in effect for Canada Day with free transit service on all routes. Expect delays due to detours near downtown Courtenay during the Canada Day parade and celebrations.
KAMLOOPS –
Saturday service will be in effect for Canada Day. Transit will be free on all local routes.
KELOWNA –
Saturday service will be in effect for all routes on Canada Day. There will be additional service dispatched throughout the day to address crowding. Regular fares will be in effect.
KITIMAT –
Buses will be running on a modified schedule for Canada Day, with free service all day. Expect some delays due to parade detours. Special service from Riverlodge will run until 12 a.m. for the Canada Day festivities.
PENTICTON –
Transit will be running on a regular weekday schedule for Canada Day, with free service being offered on all local routes in Penticton.
POWELL RIVER –
Sunday service will be in effect for Canada Day. A free shuttle from the Town Centre Mall to Willingdon Beach every 15 minutes, starting at 6:15 p.m. This free shuttle will run until 11:10 p.m. There will be additional service on routes 1, 2 and 3 departing from the Town Centre Mall starting at 11:15 p.m.
PRINCE GEORGE –
Sunday service will be in effect for all routes on Canada Day. Regular fares will be in effect.
REGIONAL DISTRICT OF NANAIMO –
Sunday service will be in effect for Canada Day. A special event shuttle will be provided for the celebrations at Maffeo Sutton Park. For shuttle pick up locations and schedule please click here.
SALT SPRING ISLAND –
Sunday service will be in effect for Canada Day on all local routes. Regular fares will be in effect.
SQUAMISH –
Sunday service will be in effect for Canada Day. Free transit is being offered on all routes on weekends and statutory holidays between June 10th and September 2, 2024.
SUNSHINE COAST –
Sunday service will be in effect for Canada Day on all local routes. Regular fares will be in effect.
VICTORIA REGIONAL –
Saturday service will be in effect for Canada Day, along with regular late-night service. Regular fares will be in effect.
WHISTLER –
