Beach Bus on a Roll in Comox Valley

COMOX VALLEY – Now more than ever — life’s a beach in the Comox Valley. BC Transit and the Comox Valley Regional District are making a trip to Goose Spit Regional Park even more carefree with weekend Beach Bus service from July 14 to September 9, 2012. Take transit and leave your vehicle & parking worries behind.

Transit service will run Saturday and Sunday from about 10:30 am to 6 pm. The Beach Bus route travels between the Comox Centre Mall and Goose Spit. Regular fares will apply; $1.75 for adults and $1.50 for seniors/youth.

Goose Spit is a popular destination for locals and tourists who enjoy sand, sea and surf.

BC Transit and the Comox Valley Regional District are hopeful this summer’s Beach Bus pilot project is a tremendous success. We asked that riders bring beach bags and sporting gear that can be either fit on their lap or under their feet. For the safety of all passengers, large bags that obstruct aisles will not be permitted on the Beach Bus. As with all BC Transit buses, no shirt and no shoes: no service. Please make sure your clothes are dry when boarding our buses.
