BC Transit to connect with Hullo Ferry terminal

BC Transit and the Regional District of Nanaimo are announcing changes to the transit system, effective January 7, 2024.

Route 25 Ferry Shuttle will be serving customers at the new passenger ferry terminal at 100 Port Way. This route will provide connections with select trips on the Hullo passenger ferry and offer more service to the Departure Bay BC Ferries terminal.

To better serve our customers, some timing changes are being made to the Saturday schedule for Route 70 NCX Nanaimo – Cowichan Express.

Please check the latest Rider’s Guide for all the changes.

We encourage our customers to use the Umo app, Transit App, Google Transit or any other app of their choice for real-time bus tracking and planning your next transit journey.

Umo is BC Transit’s new contactless fare payment system that allows riders to pay their fare with the payment method and fare product that best suits their lifestyle and travel habits. The Umo Mobility App provides riders with additional travel tools including real-time information, maps, and alerts, and is BC Transit’s recommended payment method for riders with access to a mobile device.
