BC Transit Seeks Public Input on Douglas Street Transit Hub

VICTORIA – BC Transit is working in partnership with the City of Victoria to design an efficient downtown transit hub in the lower Douglas Street area and will be seeking input at upcoming meetings.

Wednesday, January 13: BC Transit’s President and CEO, Manuel Achadinha, and Senior Transit Planner, James Wadsworth, will attend the James Bay Neighbourhood Association monthly meeting to present options for proposed turnaround routes and layover areas for BC Transit buses in the lower Douglas Street area.

The meeting is open to the public and runs from 7 p.m. until 9 p.m. at James Bay New Horizons, located at 234 Menzies Street.

Wednesday, January 27: BC Transit staff will be hosting an open house to answer questions about terminal options for the proposed transit hub. The meeting will encourage area residents and businesses to attend, and runs from 2 p.m. until 7 p.m. at the Oak Bay room in the Victoria Conference Centre, located at 720 Douglas Street.
