On September 30, 2026, BC Transit and its local government and operating partners will come together in communities across the province to recognize the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.
As part of this shared recognition, orange ribbons will be placed on bus mirrors in various regions, and some Operators may choose to wear orange shirts as a meaningful show of support.
BC Transit recognizes that Reconciliation is an ongoing journey, rooted in listening, learning and building stronger relationships with Indigenous communities. We are continuing to work alongside these Indigenous communities and partners on projects that improve and expand transit service in several communities, helping support stronger connections for the people who live, work and travel there.
Transit service on Wednesday, September 30, 2026, will vary by region. Customers are encouraged to visit bctransit.com for the latest schedules and any rider alerts.
