BC Transit Goes Loonie on Canada Day

PRINCE GEORGE – A dollar doesn’t take you very far these days, unless you’re taking BC Transit to Canada Day celebrations in Prince George.

The City of Prince George and BC Transit are pleased to offer loonie rides on Monday, July 1, 2013 from 10:30 am to 6:30 pm. The one day discount is intended to encourage residents to leave their driving and parking worries at home on Canada’s 146th birthday.

Park and ride services will be available at the Hart Exchange, Pine Centre, Spruceland, Caledonia Mobile Home Park and the Westgate Exchange for convenience of those attending the Canada Day event at Fort George Park.

BC Transit encourages everyone to safely mark Canada Day with our loonie service whether you are at a large public gathering or simply spending time with family and friends. Bus pass and ticket holders are welcome to use pre-purchased fares on Canada Day too.
