BC Transit experiencing Comox Valley service challenges

BC Transit is advising customers in the Comox Valley Regional Transit System that due to a current labour shortage, we are currently experiencing short-term service challenges.

This labour shortage, expected to last approximately one week, is resulting in the need to sometimes alter schedules and cancel trips on short notice. BC Transit understands the impact these disruptions have on riders and does its best to notify customers immediately.

Once a trip cancellation has been confirmed, alerts are issued on BC Transit’s website. Customers are encouraged to use NextRide and the Transit App. They can also check for alerts regularly by visiting https://www.bctransit.com/comox-valley/schedules-and-maps/alerts, where riders can also sign up for route-specific alerts that will be emailed to them directly.

BC Transit and its operating company in the Comox Valley Transit System, PWTransit, are working hard to hire more drivers and are looking for people with strong customer service skills, who enjoy interacting with the public and supporting their community. If someone is interested in a career with PWTransit, they can get more information here.

BC Transit apologizes for the inconvenience this may cause and continues to appreciate the patience of customers during this time.
