VICTORIA – BC Transit is pleased to announce a return to the bargaining
table with the CAW 333, the union representing our drivers, mechanics and maintenance
staff.
BC Transit reached out to the CAW 333 and invited the union to resume negotiations
under the Province’s Cooperative Gains mandate. BC Transit was encouraged
when union representatives agreed to meet with the intention of achieving a
fair and reasonable deal.
BC Transit was determined to take a leadership role in averting any job action.
A bargaining date is set for Monday, October 15. CAW 333 has assured BC Transit
that no further escalated job action will be taken while both sides remain at
the table.
