BC Transit and employees represented by Unifor Local 333 have ratified a new agreement under the B.C. government’s Sustainable Services Negotiating Mandate.
The agreement focuses on improving services for people and ensuring fair and affordable compensation. Unifor Local 333 represents approximately 650 drivers, service and maintenance staff working at BC Transit.
The agreement includes:
- three-year term (April 1, 2019 – March 31, 2022)
- general wage increases of 2 per cent in each year
- improvements to recruitment and retention through training period enhancements and modest wage scale adjustments
