BC Transit and the Regional District of Nanaimo implement service changes

NANAIMO ā€“ In order to continue offering Regional District of Nanaimo (RDN) Transit System customers with critical transportation solutions, BC Transit and RDN Transit are making adjustments to RDN Transit service as part of our response to COVID-19, starting March 25, 2020.

The service changes also take into account having sufficient service to allow for physical distancing while traveling on public transit in BC Transit communities.

BC Transit and RDN Transit will be implementing their summer level of service starting Wednesday, March 25. These changes focus on reducing service to schools and post-secondary institutions, meaning the trips with an ā€˜Sā€™ note beside them will be removed from service.

BC Transit and RDN Transit continue to work hard to provide transportation services you can rely on to get to work, including health care facilities, and other essential activities such as grocery shopping and getting prescriptions at pharmacies.

BC Transit and RDN Transit continue to monitor the COVID-19 response, and implements plans as appropriate.
